Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse in the MS ONC specialty located in the area. This position involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, as well as providing health teaching, health counseling, and supportive therapy to promote patient well-being.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) or higher from an accredited School of Nursing; current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; BLS certification from the American Heart Association; experience in nursing is preferred but not required (minimum 0 years).
• Required Skills: Teamwork, Oncology nursing, positive attitude, nursing care, health status assessment, documentation, therapy and treatment plans, independent nursing functions, health teaching, health counseling, delegated medical functions, patient referral.
• Additional Information: May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need; may be on-call during a scheduled shift; responsible for executing therapy, treatment, and medical functions; responsible for documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines; promotes organizational mission, vision, and values.
