Job Summary

T he Superintendent for Completion & Well Intervention (CWI) is responsible for the safe, efficient, compliant, and cost-effective execution of well programs, including drilling, completion, workover, intervention, and Plug & Abandonment (P&A) activities.

 

Job Description

  • Lead and supervise offshore Workover & Intervention operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution.
  • Support Plug & Abandonment (P&A) projects and other critical well intervention activities.
  • Serve as the primary operational focal point for Wellsite Supervisors and review daily operations, challenges, and program changes.
  • Make critical operational decisions independently, particularly when management is unavailable.
  • Manage and monitor operational activities and assess, document, and report project progress.
  • Ensure all operational deliverables and requirements are properly recorded and completed in accordance with the approved work program.
  • Coordinate operational activities among Schlumberger Product Lines, clients, vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers.
  • Ensure services and resources are deployed efficiently to meet operational requirements and project objectives.
  • Attend rig sites and offshore locations as required for critical wellsite activities.
  • Consolidate lessons learned throughout the campaign and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Provide strong QHSE leadership throughout project execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement of HSE processes by identifying improvement opportunities and implementing appropriate action plans.
  • Monitor, record, and evaluate project execution results and recommend performance improvements to enhance project delivery.
  • Conduct and support regular operational and QHSE audits to maintain a continuous feedback and improvement loop.
  • Conduct regular wellsite visits and participate in QHSE/rig audits in coordination with the QHSE Coordinator.
  • Ensure compliance with Schlumberger policies, Integrated Product Line standards, standing orders, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Review operational problems and support incident management, incident response, recovery, and operational changes.
  • Coordinate incident response activities with relevant Product Lines, contractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure operational risks are identified, assessed, and appropriately managed.
  • Forecast and plan medium- and long-term resource requirements to support operational programs.
  • Ensure appropriate personnel, equipment, materials, and third-party services are available to meet project requirements.
  • Participate in pre-job planning and kickoff meetings with Product Lines, contractors, customers, and other relevant stakeholders to establish a common understanding of scope, responsibilities, risks, and execution requirements.
  • Participate in the selection and evaluation of service companies, suppliers, contractors, and equipment.
  • Support operational readiness activities, audits, site visits, and project planning.
  • Ensure effective cost control of operations against the approved project budget.
  • Monitor operational productivity, performance, and accountability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining safety, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and acceptance requirements.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement and validate that final project deliverables satisfy customer and project requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted operational authority for the customer and project team.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, Product Lines, Wellsite Supervisors, contractors, vendors, and third-party personnel.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication, responsiveness, and operational support.
  • Ensure customer expectations and operational requirements are clearly understood and incorporated into project execution.
  • Coordinate resources and activities to ensure compliance with the work program, optimum operational efficiency, and high service quality.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to Wellsite Supervisors and other personnel under direct supervision.
  • Ensure appropriate training, competency development, and performance support for operational personnel.
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, continuous learning, and professional development.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to field personnel to strengthen operational performance and leadership capabilities.

 

Skills Required

  • 5–10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in Workover & Intervention operations.
  • Extensive experience in: Workover operations, Well intervention operations, Offshore operations, Wellsite supervision and operational risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to make independent operational decisions.
  • Proven experience leading and supervising field teams.
  • Experience managing operational risk and responding to changing field conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple Product Lines, contractors, vendors, and customer representatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong Plug & Abandonment (P&A) experience.
  • Offshore platform experience.
  • Additional drilling experience.
  • Experience supporting complex offshore well programs and intervention campaigns.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

Pay Rate

  • $2000 per day ( Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)

 

Additional Requirements

  • Sh ift: 5x2 - Monday to Friday
  • Current Well Control Certification.
  • Certifications required for offshore/Gulf of America operations.
  • Other offshore safety certifications are highly beneficial.
