Registered Nurse Manager (RN) | Med Surg

Responsible for managing a patient care unit, including daily operations, long-term planning, staff development, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Oversee unit operations, providing staff direction, orientation, education, and professional development. Maintain standards of care, practice, and staff competency through ongoing training and education programs. Manage staffing levels, position control, and scheduling in collaboration with nursing leadership. Stay current with clinical practices, evidence-based care, reimbursement policies, and regulations. Assist with budgeting, ensuring financial objectives are met. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to promote patient safety and compliance. Handle patient and customer relations, including complaint resolution and service recovery. Hire, train, evaluate, and retain staff, fostering a positive team environment. Qualifications & Skills Active RN license in the practice state. NRP and PALS certification required. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing and 1-3 years of leadership experience. Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Ability to perform essential functions, including visual acuity and effective communication.
