As a Security Officer Screening in Portage, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. At a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help screen employees, visitors, and/or deliveries, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to help identify and report security-related concerns. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving designated areas in accordance with post orders and site guidelines, and report unusual activity or policy concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access, prohibited items, and/or policy violations through consistent screening and observation practices.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter as required, noting security-related concerns, operational issues, and/or conditions that may need follow-up.
Minimum Requirements:
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
