This floor is a great place to refine your assessment skills and become educated in the fast paced evolving science of cancer treatment and management. Nurses who select oncology have the opportunity to care for a group of medically complex patients with rare disorders and cancers. There are ongoing educational opportunities with world class physicians to promote professional development of nurses. Nurses have the ability to grow into oncology certified nurses, chemotherapy trained and/or bone marrow transplant certified. Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
