At the conclusion of your internship, you may be considered for full-time employment, to commence upon successful completion of your degree program.

Who will you work for?

Tradeweb’s quantitative teams sit at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data science, financial markets, and technology. These teams use advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to solve complex problems, uncover insights from large datasets, and develop innovative solutions that support Tradeweb’s products, clients, and businesses.

As a quantitative Intern, you will gain hands-on experience applying data science and AI techniques to real-world challenges within electronic trading and financial markets. You may work on projects involving predictive modeling, machine learning, data analysis, generative AI, or the development of analytical tools and applications.

Throughout the internship, with guidance from a mentor, you’ll explore a real-world trading or business challenge using Tradeweb data, develop and evaluate an analytical solution, and present your findings to both technical and business stakeholders. Projects may include analyzing execution quality, modeling trading activity or market behavior, or evaluating the use of AI tools to solve business challenges.

What do you need to succeed?

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related technical or analytical discipline

• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python, with experience working with data and analytical libraries

• Familiarity with SQL and working with structured or unstructured datasets

• Foundational knowledge of statistics, machine learning, data science, or artificial intelligence concepts

• Exposure to machine learning frameworks, generative AI, large language models, or AI development tools is a plus

• Interest in applying AI and data science to real-world business problems; prior financial markets experience is not required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to approach complex or ambiguous problems thoughtfully

• Intellectual curiosity and an interest in learning about financial markets, electronic trading, and financial technology

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and analytical findings clearly

• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues

The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $45-$75 hourly based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
