Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Principal Data Insight Analyst to join our team in Palmdale, Ca. The candidate should be a self-starter who thrives in both independent and collaborative settings while consistently maintaining strong connections across the team.The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 10% may be required.Roles and Responsibilities will include:Understand and experience in specifying, collecting, processing and presenting information from potentially several disparate data setsGenerate actionable knowledge from dataAnalyze data sets and quickly developing recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative data from many different types of sourcesIdentify patterns and higher-level information from all the data sources through use of tools and application programmingUnderstands the general problem space and is confident in explaining the different insights generated from the data.Translate analytic findings into clear, actionable recommendations and executive presentations with compelling visualizations and narrativesEnsure data quality, integrity, and lineage for insight-generating datasets through validation rules, monitoring, and escalation processesPrioritize analytics backlog using business impact, technical feasibility, and operational readiness; manage stakeholder expectations and delivery timelinesLead cross-functional analytics projects, coordinating engineering, data platform, and business teams to deliver production-ready solutionsBasic Qualifications:Must have a minimum of 5 years with Bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a Master’s degree or 9 years of experience in lieu of degreeHands-on analytics experience, including advanced statistical modeling and experimentationProficient with MS Office products and Atlassian SuitesExperience with pivoting tables, charting, and building nested Excel functionsCandidates must be willing to work a dynamic work schedule/ multiple shifts that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekendsActive Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Access Program (SAP) access via a Program Access Request (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needsPreferred Qualifications:Be familiar with aircraft systems such as avionics/mechanical equipment as well as other common systems#YellowPrimary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
