• Drive the technical roadmap: Collaborate with Product, Design, and GTM stakeholders to translate ambiguous business goals into a clear, phased engineering plan.

• Set the bar for engineering excellence: Establish coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategy, reliability targets, and observability practices that future teams will inherit.

• Evaluate & integrate new tech: Rapidly prototype with third-party APIs, databases, model-serving platforms, and infra vendors to accelerate customer value.

• Mentor & lead: Provide technical leadership for (and - if you're up for it - manage) engineers across domains - pairing, reviewing, and unblocking as you go.

Who you are

• 8+ years of professional software-engineering experience, including 3+ years leading critical projects or teams.

• Deep, hands-on expertise scaling and operating PostgreSQL, designing partitioned/sharded schemas, tuning indexes and queries, automating backups and observability, and running resilient multi-TB clusters with replication and failover.

• Proven track record of shipping high-impact, production-grade systems at scale. Passion for customers: you prototype quickly, iterate on feedback, and sweat the edge-cases that matter.
