This leadership role ensures the community remains safe, clean, organized, compliant, and well-maintained while supporting resident comfort, satisfaction, and quality of life. The ideal candidate is organized, mechanically skilled, hands-on, and passionate about leading by example while building positive relationships with residents, families, and team members. Responsibilities Oversee daily maintenance and environmental services operations throughout the community Ensure resident apartments, common areas, grounds, and equipment are properly maintained Coordinate preventative maintenance programs and safety inspections Manage repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and mechanical systems Ensure compliance with safety regulations, emergency preparedness, and building standards Maintain community vehicles and assist with resident transportation as needed Lead, train, and support maintenance and environmental services team members Respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational needs Monitor department budgets, supplies, and vendor relationships Participate in resident orientation and help create a welcoming environment for new residents Build positive relationships with residents while supporting quality of life and resident satisfaction Collaborate closely with leadership and department teams to support overall community operations Qualifications Previous maintenance, facilities management, environmental services, or senior living leadership experience preferred Strong knowledge of building maintenance systems and repair processes Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and preventative maintenance preferred Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Leadership and team management experience preferred Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Compassionate and resident-focused attitude Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities What Makes a Great Fit We are looking for someone who: Leads by example with professionalism and accountability Takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment Enjoys problem-solving and supporting residents and staff Thrives in a fast-paced and service-oriented environment Builds strong relationships with residents and team members Brings reliability, leadership, and attention to detail to every day What Our Associates Say About Charter “It truly feels like family at Charter.” “The residents become an extension of my family.” “They truly live out their mission and values.” “I love working for a company that genuinely puts people first.” If you are a maintenance and facilities leader looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can make a meaningful difference while leading a supportive and mission-driven team, #J-18808-Ljbffr
