Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for a broad spectrum of patients from pediatric to geriatric cases using standardized assessment protocols and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment strategies tailored to both short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, communication, fluency, voice production, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to design a unified care approach.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to enhance their progress beyond the therapy room.
• Engage in occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
• Document patient progress meticulously in compliance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Keep abreast of developments in the field by participating in continuing education and collaborating with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
