- Conduct thorough evaluations for a broad spectrum of patients from pediatric to geriatric cases using standardized assessment protocols and observational methods.
- Create individualized treatment strategies tailored to both short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, communication, fluency, voice production, and swallowing.
- Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to design a unified care approach.
- Provide educational resources to patients and their families to enhance their progress beyond the therapy room.
- Engage in occasional inpatient assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
- Document patient progress meticulously in compliance with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
- Keep abreast of developments in the field by participating in continuing education and collaborating with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certified.
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapy techniques for all age groups, encompassing both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to adapt therapy methods to resonate with diverse cultural backgrounds and linguistic needs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
