Group Employee Benefit Lines Agent II

Services existing life & health accounts. Provides support for producers to facilitate the growth of new business and to retain existing clients. Directs sales of individual life & health products.

Essential requirements include providing daily customer service to existing customers, documenting all conversations into the agency management system, discussing insurance needs with customers and advising customers on proper products to meet their particular needs, reviewing existing accounts and suggesting additional coverages, obtaining quotes for prospects, negotiating terms and premiums with underwriters and having the authority to bind coverage on behalf of underwriters of various insurance agencies, servicing existing clients with day to day needs necessary for their insurance program, maintaining a license in good standing as required with the IN Department of Insurance, having a valid driver's license, ensuring regular and predictable attendance, completing all compliance training related to the position, understanding all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complying with the requirements.

Non-essential functions include performing all other duties as assigned.

Experience/skills preferred include five to ten years' experience, previous risk management and customer service experience, knowledge of agency management and carrier rating systems, good communication skills, good PC skills--proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel essential, ability to work independently to achieve sales goals, and attention to detail.

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Licenses: Indiana Life & Health license required.

Travel requirements include the ability to travel to off-site locations for meetings, projects, seminars, etc., as well as the ability to travel overnight.

Physical demands include sitting, standing, and walking; using hands and fingers to operate keyboard and other office equipment; reaching with hands and arms; talking or hearing; stooping or kneeling; and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

Equipment: MS Office PC, fax, phone, and standard office equipment.
