Industrial Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description Job Description We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for mid-sized manufacturer/machine shop in Zelienople, PA. We are looking for someone with experience maintaining production machines in a manufacturing, machining or fabrication environment. This person will manage a team of three maintenance techs who do both machine, and buildings & grounds maintenance. This is a local privately owned company with around 100 employees and growing, with one facility/site. This manufacturer designs and builds industrial technical products from metals. Most of their business is US, with some international. This company is a leader in their field and are known for their quality products. People in leadership roles know their employees and show they care about them. They provide a flexible friendly, engaging, and more relaxed work environment. Employee turnover is low and there is room for growth. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this person will: Review trouble tickets/repair requests in the software system, investigate and assign. Provide good communication and follow up with internal staff on maintenance issues Develop and implement the preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, with awareness of production needs. Work with other department managers to effectively coordinate maintenance work across the site Ensure proper calibration and performance of machines Assign tasks to techs, explain and coach. Follow up/check quality of work and provide feedback to staff. Ensure provision and proper use of work instructions, tools, equipment and materials. Partner with the HR department to evaluate applicants for maintenance dept jobs, interview, and make hiring decisions. Conduct performance evaluations and meetings for department staff. Address performance issues Be the liaison for outside vendors for specialty equipment servicing Coordinate building and grounds maintenance, including outside contractors Ensure safety, quality of workmanship and procedural compliance in the department. Communicate, interpret and comply with company rules and processes Provide suggestions for process improvements, equipment needs/purchases, staffing needs and other plant issues Full time Monday- Friday 6.30AM- 3PM. Overtime of a few hours here and there is possible and paid. Saturdays are not required but the maintenance team members will sometimes choose to come in to perform certain tasks when the site is quiet. There are no routine maintenance shutdowns. We are looking for candidates in the 80-95K range (plus extra for overtime). Annual performance increases. Discretionary company bonus paid to all employees based on company performance. Full benefits package. Qualifications Experience maintaining production machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Machine shop or metals, or similar industry. Experience leading a team or readiness to step up into this role Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics for mechanical and electrical work.
