Application Data Architect

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software architecture and system design experience
- 10+ years of relational database design and normalization experience
- Strong expertise in relational database design, with deep knowledge of 3NF and normalized schemas
- Experience designing tables, relationships, keys, constraints, and indexes
- Hands‑on experience with application‑focused OLTP data modeling (not BI, analytics, data warehouse, or AI use cases)
- Experience with data modeling tools (e.g., DbSchema, Vertabelo, ERBuilder, ERwin, ER/Studio)
- Ability to work across conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Strong experience with relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra
- Strong SQL skills (ability to review, validate, and occasionally write SQL)
- Understanding of microservices architecture and API‑based systems
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments across multiple teams
- Knowledge of data governance (privacy, security, retention)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with ORM frameworks
- Experience with Java and/or Go
- AWS cloud experience
- Experience with data catalog tools (Alation, Collibra)
- Domain experience in Insurtech or Fintech
