Warehouse SpecialistLocation: Fort Polk, LA and Fort Irwin, CAThis opportunity is contingent upon contract awardSummary/Scope of WorkThe Warehouse Specialist shall operate out of the warehouses on site and will be accountable for the Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) property assigned to the Contractor.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform data entry, inventory management and material handling servicesAssist with incoming shipmentEnsure all TADSS equipment are issued on and all maintenance orders are recorded within the TS-MATSProvide annual GFP report as required; utilize the Global Combat Support System- Army (GCSS-Army) and the Training Support-Materiel Army wide Tracking system (TS-MATS) as directed.Complete weekly TADSS Usage report; report to include usage statistics (in the field, motor pools, TADSS facilities or ranges), quantities of property issued by category and work order priority.Establish and maintain a Monthly Sensitive, Explosive, and Hazardous Material Report. Report to include list of property inventoried, location, and quantity.Process TADSS requests and ensures requesting units are authorized to request/receive equipment.Compile a record of demand for material issued by date, unit and type of equipment and ensures requested material is on hand for issue.Utilize TS-MATS, TADSS and Microsoft Word computers to produce requests, lists, records, reports, statistics, memos, correspondence, etc.Perform user-level TADSS equipment troubleshooting to detect malfunctions and escalate when applicable.Qualifications:Minimum two (2) years experience in military warehouse operationsPractical experience with Army logistics management systems and associated military systems for stock control and supply records keeping highly preferredFamiliar with TS-MATS, TADSS and Microsoft OfficeAbility to be licensed for and utilize Materials Handling Equipment (MHE) equipment for upload and download of freight from transport vehicles; in and around the warehouse for storage and maintenance of property and to assist customers as requiredAbility to pass a background check, DOD Security Clearance preferredHigh School diploma or GEDUS CitizenAbility to work effectively, and contribute positively, as a team memberAbility to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise mannerAbility to maintain effective working relationships, professional demeanor, and attitudeAbility to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.DisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
