JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a full-time, Anchorage-based Sign Fabricator to join our growing team.

Under limited supervision, the Sign Fabricator uses various manufacturing equipment to build and assemble sign projects, often from pre-formed, CNC machined, or raw material stock. The sign fabricator uses hand tools, pneumatic tools, and battery-powered and corded electrical tools, as well as welding equipment. Under direction from the Production Manager and other senior fabricators, the sign fabricator is responsible for accurate and timely manufacturing of sign cabinets, channel letters, panel signage, as well as other custom-designed projects as assigned. Depending on experience, the successful candidate will work under direct supervision of an experienced fabricator, but once trained is expected to work independently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with training and support. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

* Review approved drawings and art proofs for each project
* Gather fabrication materials and supplies as required; from stock or other departments
* Measure, cut, and assemble steel, aluminum, and wood signage using fasteners or welded connections
* Maintain a positive, clean, organized, and safe work area
* Maintain shop equipment, including material stock, tool organization, and proper safety equipment
* Fulfill all other duties assigned as assigned by leadership

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* High School Diploma or GED required
* 2+ years general construction or handyman experience
* Prior sign industry experience highly desirable, but not required
* Ability to creatively solve problems and issues.
* Strong focus on safety and quality
