About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Respiratory Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: State Licensure required Certifications: BLS required NRP required ACLS preferred PALS preferred National Accreditation through NBRC required Registered Respiratory Therapist highly preferred but not a deal breaker, CRT is accepted Must-Have: Must be comfortable with attending high-risk deliveries Experience working with Level 3 NICU/PICU Description: Will work through all campuses within a 20-25 minute driving distance. Will work in various treatment areas such as ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele. Will be involved in high-risk deliveries and supporting NICU/PICU. Common patient diagnoses include COPD, CHF, flu, pneumonia, COVID, ARDS, lung cancer, stroke, ALS, post-operative CABG, and liver/kidney transplant patients. Must have experience with intubation of neonates, if necessary. Responsibilities include airway and ventilator management, ABG puncture and analysis, non-invasive ventilation, Code Blue and rapid response experience, and inhaled medication administration including nitric oxide. Equipment used includes Servo U, Servo I, Trilogy, V60, EV300, Vapotherm HVT, Vapotherm Precision Flow, Airvo 2, and ResMed Lumis TX for COPD. Will float throughout all campuses as required. Flexibility to work a 36/48-hour rotation is needed. Shift times include 7a-7p and 7p-7a. Weekend rotation will be every other weekend. On-call shifts may be required, with orientation for transport equipment and procedures provided. Scrub color is pewter.
