And more! Responsibilities As an Activities Director/Social Services Designee you will assist in preparing our residents for their future. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Emmetsburg Care Center by ensuring our residents social and emotional needs are met during their stay, coordinating resident discharges and participating in resident care conferences. You will also support our residents by implementing and directing activity programs that meet the physical and psychosocial needs of our residents, overseeing all aspects of the Activity Department, developing new activity programs to keep up with trends and industry standards. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe. Qualifications To be eligible for consideration applicants should have: As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent. The ideal candidate will bring experience in activities and/or social services within a Skilled Nursing Facility setting. Prior Activity Aide, Activity Director, or Social Services Designee experience is preferred, along with at least one year of leadership or managerial experience. NCCAP certification, a Bachelor’s degree in social work or a similar field, and five years of related experience are preferred; however, we are willing to invest in and support the right candidate.
