CollinsPay: $22–$27 per hour (based on weld test/interview) $1.50 shift differential for swing shift Schedule: Monday–Thursday Day Shift: 5:00 am - 3:30 pm Swing Shift 2:30 pm - 1:00 am THIS IS A TEMP TO HIRE ROLEAbout the RoleWe are seeking skilled MIG Welders to join our structural welding team. In this role, you will fabricate and assemble customer-specified buildings and components with precision, strength, and durability. You'll work with steel and other metals to construct frameworks and support structures that meet exact specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsLay out, fit, and connect parts to be welded; calculate production measurementsSet up and operate welding machines for metal fabrication and assemblyTroubleshoot welding equipment issuesAssemble, align, and clamp workpieces using fixtures according to design requirementsInspect, measure, and test completed workpieces to ensure specification complianceSafely operate overhead cranes and forkliftsPerform additional shop duties such as cutting, assembly, or kitting as neededFollow all safety, quality, and production procedures; use required PPEComplete cleaning and maintenance tasks to support a safe, efficient work environmentWillingness to cross-train and assist in other shop functionsQualificationsCompetenciesAbility to pass 3G FCAW testAbility to pass 3G GMAW testEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredWelding trade school certificate a plusMinimum of one year of welding experience preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionallyAbility to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periodsManual dexterity and mobility required
