HR Transformation Management Consulting Principal Director - Industrial

As a HR Transformation Principal Director, you will lead and shape how organizations approach HR in the digital age. Your role involves defining, shaping, selling and executing HR transformation projects that integrate digital solutions, automation, process, and organization optimization. You will work closely with clients to improve HR functions, enhancing both business performance and employee satisfaction. This high-visibility role requires strategic thinking, deep expertise in HR transformation, strong client relationships, and effective project delivery. Key Responsibilities Client Leadership & Relationship Management — Build strong, trusted long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders and advise on HR operating models, technology, and transformation strategies aligned with business goals. HR Transformation Strategy & Value Case — Develop and implement HR transformation strategies blending traditional HR with digital innovations (AI, GenAI, automation) and leverage analytics to design future-state models and improve talent management, engagement, and workforce planning. HR Operating Model & Service Delivery Framework — Design operating models and service delivery frameworks (employee experience, digital HR, shared services, outsourcing) and lead organization design, interaction models, location strategy, and sizing. Employee Experience & Talent Management — Lead initiatives to enhance employee experience via personalization, engagement, and alignment with culture; use HR technology and data analytics to improve talent acquisition, performance management and well-being. HR Technology Evaluation & Selection — Lead evaluation and selection of HR technologies (HRIS, AI tools); guide clients through vendor selection, RFPs and capability evaluations. Generative AI & Emerging Technologies — Articulate how GenAI and advanced technologies can improve the HR function; stay up-to-date on trends and bring innovative solutions. HR Operations, Shared Services & Outsourcing — Advise on transforming HR operations, sourcing options, cost efficiency and quality; design and implement HR operating models leveraging these components. Process Optimization & Automation — Lead automation initiatives, implement intelligent automation to enhance efficiency, scalability and accuracy. Project Management & Delivery — Lead end-to-end delivery of HR transformation projects, ensuring timely, on-budget and high-quality outcomes; manage cross-functional teams and integrate new technologies into HR ecosystems. Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement — Guide change management, facilitate stakeholder engagement and empower clients to sustain transformation long-term. Business Development & Sales — Identify and develop new HR transformation opportunities; write proposals and RFPs and support strategic growth with senior leadership. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years experience in HR transformation, digital HR, or HR technology consulting with at least 5 years in a senior managerial or leadership role. Minimum of 7 years experience leading large-scale HR transformation projects. Minimum of 7 years experience designing and implementing HR operating models, shared services, and outsourcing strategies. Minimum of 3 years experience in the Retail Industry. Bonus Skills HR Technology Expertise — Strong understanding of leading HR platforms (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM) and evaluating HRIS, talent management systems and AI-driven solutions; experience managing vendor relationships. HR Operating Model Design — Ability to design and optimize HR operating models with digital tools to drive efficiency and outcomes. Employee Experience Focus — Proven ability to enhance engagement and well-being through innovative HR strategies and digital solutions. Project Management & Delivery — Experience managing complex projects end-to-end with familiarity in Agile and Waterfall methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project). Thought Leadership & Innovation — Contribute to industry thought leadership and represent the organization at events. Global & Multinational Experience — Experience with global clients and international HR practices and compliance. Agile & Scrum Certification — Certification in Agile or Scrum methodologies. Travel As needed, up to 80%. Compensation & Benefits Compensation varies by office location, role, skill set and experience.
