This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling LLM-powered systems using modern agent frameworks, including ADK (Agent Development Kit), while ensuring compliance with risk, governance, and regulatory standards.The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in AI engineering with strong understanding of financial services, AML, and enterprise controls, and will partner across Technology, Product, Risk, and Compliance teams.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop LLM-powered applications and agentic systems using frameworks such as LangChain and ADK (Agent Development Kit)Build and manage multi-agent orchestration, tool chaining, and workflow automationDevelop robust guardrails (input/output validation) to ensure safe and compliant AI behaviorIntegrate AI solutions with enterprise APIs, data platforms, and internal systemsDesign real-time and asynchronous AI pipelines (REST APIs, streaming, WebSockets)Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Model Governance teams to support MRM validation and approvalsLead end-to-end delivery of AI solutions from concept through production deploymentProvide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teamsDrive best practices, standards, and reusable frameworks for AI engineeringEnsure observability, monitoring, and performance optimization of AI systemsQualifications:3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering and over all engineering experience of 6+ yearsStrong proficiency in Python and backend developmentHands-on experience with:ADK (Agent Development Kit) for building and orchestrating agentsLangChain or similar LLM frameworksLLM / GenAI systems (RAG, agents, tool chaining)Proven experience delivering production-grade systems in enterprise environmentsStrong understanding of API integration, distributed systems, and microservices architectureExperience working in regulated industries (Financial Services preferred)Preferred Skills:Experience building multi-agent systems with ADK or similar frameworksFamiliarity with LLM platforms such as Gemini, OpenAI, or Vertex AIKnowledge of AML systems, financial crime detection, or compliance workflowsExperience implementing AI guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and observability toolsExposure to real-time AI systems (voice, streaming, event-driven architectures)Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Technology------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Technology Product Management------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:Irving Texas United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$138,720.00 - $208,080.00In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
