Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of previous cardiac stepdown experience required. License: Active Illinois license required. Certifications: - BLS (AHA) required - ACLS (AHA) required Must-Have: - Epic experience required - Work history/resume must have 24 months of current stepdown/progressive care experience required. - Skills checklist specific to stepdown/progressive care required. - Professional reference from a supervisor, nurse manager, director, or CNO/COO performance evaluation within 24 months preferred. - Driver's license required. Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses. Charge nurses will consider the safest assignments based on each nurse's level of cardiac experience. Night shift has a 1:5 to 1:6 patient ratio. First-time travelers are accepted. Every other weekend is required.
