• Shifts run 7am - 7am (24-hour coverage)
• Avg inpatient census -- 1 baby born per day
• Avg admissions per day -- 1 patient in hospital
• Attendance at C-sections when requested by OB provider
• No ICU/critical care duties -- no ER backup required
• Codes responded to in nursery only
• NRP, PALS, and BLS certifications required
• Hospital privileges required
• Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
• Assignment details and time entry in online portal
