Job Title

Critical Care Float Pool – Registered Nurse (ICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Float Position

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple critical care units including ED (holds), ICU, and IMCU as assigned
• Accept medical-surgical assignments when floated to MS units, managing up to 6–7 patients
• Provide care for patients with complex diagnoses including strokes, sepsis, AMS, respiratory failure, CHF, post-STEMI, cardiogenic shock, and major post-operative conditions
• Operate and monitor specialty equipment including IABP, CRRT, Ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN license required at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must be willing and able to float to any unit within the hospital
• Locals are welcome (candidates within 75 miles of the facility are eligible at a local rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cardiovascular surgery, trauma, or neuro-intervention patient populations
• Familiarity with specialty critical care equipment such as IABP and CRRT
• Prior experience in a float pool or multi-unit environment
