Little Kids Education Center is growing, and we are looking for caring, dependable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team!

We currently have  two Lead Teacher positions.

As a Lead Teacher:

What You'll Do

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's cognitive, language, social-emotional, and physical development.
• Follow the center's curriculum and create meaningful learning experiences.
• Provide consistent supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of every child.
• Build positive relationships with children and families.
• Observe children's development and maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Communicate regularly with families about their child's daily activities, progress, accomplishments, and needs.
• Follow daily classroom routines, including meals, diapering/toileting, naps, transitions, and play.
• Use positive and developmentally appropriate classroom management strategies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and center policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the Assistant Teacher, Assistant Director, Director, and other teaching staff.

Teacher Qualifications

• Must meet applicable  Illinois DCFS qualifications for the Teacher position.
• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field  or Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, as applicable to DCFS requirements.
• Minimum of 6 semester hours (or 9 quarter hours)in child care, child development, early childhood education, or a related field, as applicable to DCFS requirements.
• Previous experience working with children in a licensed childcare, preschool, or educational setting.
• Strong classroom management and child supervision skills.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of early childhood education and child development.
• Patient, dependable, responsible, and enthusiastic.
• Genuine love for working with young children.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
