As a Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering top-notch service to our customers. You will be responsible for conducting various repairs, both major and minor, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Your focus on mechanical and electrical expertise will contribute significantly to our team's success.

Velocity Truck Rental & Leasing - Service Department is seeking an experienced Technicians with refrigerated (reefer) trailer experience to join our Service team in Nashville, TN!

Job Duties:

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair refrigerated trailers and related mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform major and minor repairs accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures.
• Inspect equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related concerns.
• Serve as a key point of contact for customers by providing professional support and repair-status updates.
• Complete repairs independently or under supervision, depending on the complexity of the work.
• Properly manage parts, tools, equipment, and inventory used during repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferably possess post-secondary vocational education.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field.
• Previous experience diagnosing and repairing refrigerated trailers and refrigeration systems required.
• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and follow technical manuals, service instructions, and repair procedures.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Class B Driver's License within a specified timeframe.
• Ability to understand and comply with Company Policies comprehensively.

Required Training:

• 2+ years of experience in heavy truck repairs or a related field.
• Ability to pursue a Class B Commercial Driver's License.
• Basic training provided by third parties or the company.
• Fundamental knowledge of heavy-duty electrical systems.
• Capability to assist in diagnosing failures and executing repairs effectively.
• Familiarity with component rebuilds and replacements, such as engines and transmissions.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to pass post-offer drug screening, physical examination (including a lift test), and background check

Compensation:

• $28-$30/hourly (depending on experience and qualifications)
• Full-time position
