Adjunct Professor - Sterile Processing Technician (Part-Time, Day Shift)

Instructor Allied Health–Surgical DepartmentBerkeley College, with campuses located in the New Jersey metropolitan area, seeks highly qualified and motivated instructors to teach within the Allied Health–Surgical Department in the Sterile Processing Technician program.The ideal candidate will support our vision of becoming the college of choice for students pursuing lifelong success in dynamic careers. The position includes teaching theory and laboratory skill classes at our Woodland Park, Newark, and Woodbridge, New Jersey campuses.Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Teaching and advising studentsImproving student outcomes by utilizing a variety of instructional delivery methods, including technology and other innovative approachesMaintaining and submitting appropriate individual student recordsMust be able to lift up to 50lbsMust be able to maintain classroom and laboratory setting organized after each class sessionMust be comfortable teaching in both classroom and laboratory settings for sessions lasting 2 to 4 hoursOther duties as assigned.Hourly Range: $45-$75Job Requirements:Active, non-suspended Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification is required.Additional certification such as Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS), Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER), Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL), Certified Central Service Vendor Partner (CCSVP) is preferred.Individuals must have a minimum total of three years of experience, either in the Sterile Processing Technician profession, as a Sterile Processing Technician instructor or a combination of both.Associate's degree required.
