ADaPS (an organization of over 100 software engineers) supports programs across the entire portfolio of Boeing products including Space Launch Systems (SLS) Upper Stage, Satellite Efforts, and Advanced Missile Defense efforts including Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC3). ADaPS specializes in implementing rapid prototyping and development programs using small, adaptable agile teams.Position Responsibilities:Oversees establishment and maintenance of modern software development environments, with formalized processes for development, implementation, integration, testing, documenting, and deploying software changesWorks collaboratively with software engineering teams to deploy and operate systemsOversees development and maintenance of continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelinesOversees automation and streamlining of operations and processes that support software testing, including script development as neededBuilds and maintains tools for deployment, monitoring, and operationsCommunicates technical content to stakeholdersAnalyzes, plans, and executes mitigation strategies to prevent potential security risks, threats, and vulnerabilitiesTroubleshoots and resolves issues in development, testing, and production environmentsSupports software development and testing operations. Performs software research and trade studiesSecurity Clearance:This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelors degree or higher10+ years' experience in the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)5+ years' experience with Development Operations (DevOps) and/or Development Security Operations (DevSecOps)Experience working in Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) using appropriate code versioning, build and test automation toolsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 14+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 18+ years of directly related work experience OR 22+ years of related, relevant experience Proficient with the GitLab ecosystemExperience with Agile software developmentExperience in build automationExperience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) security controlsExperience leading software teams and/or projectsMaintains a Security+ or equivalent certificationProficient with modern software development methodologiesProficient with a variety of software development languages, tools and techniquesConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Work Location:This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
