Job Description: This position will be responsible for developing and sustaining a nationally and internationally recognized research program in electrochemical engineering and polymer science, especially focused on polymeric ion-exchange membranes, electrochemical separations, and energy conversion technologies. This includes supervising and mentoring postdoctoral scholars, graduate, and undergraduate students. The incumbent is also expected to publish impactful research and disseminate results in high-quality journals and premier conferences, to collaborate with across disciplines and engage with industry, national laboratories, and government agencies, and to contribute to service at the Department, College, University, and the professional levels. Job Responsibilities 1. (50%)
Teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels in areas of chemical engineering courses. Supervise and advise graduate and undergraduate students and supervise postdoctoral researchers. Participate in University service, including committee activities. 2. (50%)
Develop and sustain a nationally and internationally recognized research program in the areas of electrochemical engineering and polymer science. Publish research in highly ranked journals and conference proceedings. Collaborate with industry, national laboratories, and government agencies. Minimum Qualifications Education Level:
Ph.D. Specific Degree
Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. Years of Experience:
8 years of experience beyond the Ph.D. Specific Experience:
A distinguished international reputation for scholarly excellence and impact. Proven track record of sustained research funding, high-impact publications, and technology transfer or industrial collaboration. Demonstrated academic leadership in shaping research programs, mentoring faculty, and advancing education.
