Location: Mt. Juliet, TN 37122

Pay Rate: $68.52/hour on W-2, no benefits

Duration: 4 months, with 6-month extensions (will likely go very long term as the work keeps growing)

Schedule: 1st Shift

Opportunity Overview:

We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support a growing manufacturing facility in Mt. Juliet, TN.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of fabrication equipment installation, quality engineering, process improvement, and manufacturing excellence in a facility where the workload is continuing to grow.

While the initial assignment is funded for 4 months, the hiring manager expects the need to continue and plans to renew the assignment in 6-month increments . A permanent position is not currently approved, but if that changes in the future, conversion may be considered . Permanent conversion is not guaranteed.

What You’ll Do:

• Serve as the Project Manager for fabrication equipment installation , including Punch/Laser, Press Brake, Epoxy, Paint Line, and related equipment.
• Coordinate installation activities across Safety & Environment, Facilities, Maintenance, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and report key quality metrics across product lines.
• Analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Manage quality-related production disruptions and alerts.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions , including customer complaints.
• Lead PFMEA activities and ensure Process Control Plans are implemented.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives including 5S, SPS, Kaizen, and Six Sigma .
• Support implementation of new digital quality tools.
• Coordinate deviation identification and approval.
• Champion surveillance testing requirements.
• Support an ISO 9000-based quality system and conduct internal audits.
• Identify and implement quality best practices.
• Coach and mentor Quality Team members.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication equipment , including Punch/Laser machines, Press Brakes, Paint and Epoxy Lines.
• Strong background in quality, industrial, and/or manufacturing engineering .
• Experience with 8D problem solving , 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa, and other RCA methodologies.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques and statistical methods.
• Experience with 5S, Kaizen, PFMEA, Control Plans, and process flow mapping .
• Experience with process auditing and knowledge of ISO standards.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting technical information to leadership and customers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
