Position Overview

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering exceptional, patient-focused care while overseeing all operations within the unit or department during assigned shifts. Working closely with the management team, the CNC is responsible for directing, monitoring, and assessing nursing care in line with established protocols. This role also serves as a resource for staff and exemplifies the organization’s mission and values, ensuring an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
• Engage in continuous evaluation of patient care services in collaboration with management.
• Work alongside subject matter experts and fellow managers to foster a collaborative environment that enhances outcomes and service quality.
• Embrace a patient-first approach and participate in service recovery when needed.
• Contribute to improving staff engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, such as employee rounding and hourly check-ins.
• Provide input on the recruitment, selection, and training of new team members. Recommend and execute actions related to training, conflict resolution, compliance with personnel policies, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures to ensure a competitive organization.
• Assist in staff scheduling and manage labor resources in accordance with patient care requirements and productivity standards.
• Support inventory management and assist in overseeing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment.
• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Possess a diploma in nursing, a Bachelor’s degree, or an Associate degree in nursing.
