Position Type: Locum

Location: Des Moines, IA
Shift: Days; 2 weeks on/2 weeks off; Clinic hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM; Call required (TBD

Position Details:
Patient Population: Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial patients
Setting: 95% Outpatient, 5% Inpatient
Responsibilities: Medical Hematology/Oncology coverage for 4 days per week, patient assessments, new and ongoing treatment plans, therapy adjustments, referrals for ancillary services, end-of-life care, chemotherapy management, and pain management coordination
Required Procedures: Not specified
EMR System: EPIC
Support Staff: 1 RN or CMA per physician
Days Per Month: Coverage needed for specific dates; facility requires 4 days per week
On-Call/Weekends: Yes; Night call Monday Friday when scheduled, 24-hour weekend call as needed (TBD)

Submission Requirements:

Active IA License or Active IMLC (LOQ required if using IMLC)
Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology
Must be experienced
Clean Malpractice/Background and NPDB Self-Query Report (within 30 days)
