RN Circulator / Registered Nurse CirculatorEither Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology LAB, or Interventional Radiology, or General OR experience preferred.Applicants MUST have a valid driver's license and access to an operating vehicle.MUST be willing to travel throughout the week to our various locations (Germantown, Senatobia, Memphis, and West Memphis).Permanent and full-time, direct hire.Registered Nurse to care for our patients in the intra-operative setting. The RN Circulator is responsible for managing all nursing care within the procedure room. This includes assisting in preparing the patient, communicating with the surgical team, and ensuring a safe, sterile environment. The Circulating Nurse is not scrubbed in but rather acts as the advocate and liaison for the patient throughout the procedure. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. You must be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. There is abundance of opportunity for professional development and upward growth within our organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Monitor patient's condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and adviceObserve and interpret patient's symptoms and communicate them to physiciansCollaborate with physicians and intra-operative team to devise individualized care plans for patientsMonitor and document the surgical procedureServe as a liaison between the surgical team and other departmentsMaintain sterile technique and respond to needs of the surgical tech and surgeonsHandle surgical counts (sponges, needles, instruments)Assist with patient transfer to recovery or PACUDocument operative record and hand off to recovery nurseParticipate in debriefing and turnover processes between surgeriesPerform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and fill in patients' chartsAdjust and administer patient's medication and provide treatments according to physician's ordersInspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)Provide instant medical care in emergenciesAssist surgeons during operationsFoster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their familiesExpand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.Skills and Qualifications:Valid Nursing License RequiredBLS/ACLS REQUIREDMinimum 1 year of cath-lab, electrophysiology lab, or perioperative nursing experience preferredIn-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all timesA team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsResponsible and compassionate
