Human Resource Manager

Human Resource Manager Responsible for providing support in the functional areas of Human Resources including compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations, equal employment opportunity (EEO), employee development, labor relations, and related areas. Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations. Providing a full range of HR support including compensation, performance management, employee relations, training & development, benefits and employment law. Reviewing and interpreting HR Policies and Procedures, making recommendations to senior management regarding new policies and changes to existing policies, meeting legal requirements and business objectives. Providing resolution for employee compensation/benefit related issues. Facilitating resolution of confidential and sensitive employee relations issues by working with senior level management and employees. Overseeing all disciplinary actions. Delivering training programs, individually and in teams, including presentation, facilitation, and coaching. Evaluating training processes. Managing the recruitment and selection process. Counseling employees on benefit plan options and employee eligibility. Assisting in the preparation of benefit plan communication. Maintaining personnel records and processing personnel actions. Preparing and/or supervising the preparation of complex statistical reports. Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual payroll, vendor or expense reports. Maintaining financial accounts, books and reports in an acceptable current condition. Reviewing and auditing these records which include but are not limited to: General ledger and supporting journals of original entry maintained for contract activities and reports. Other duties as assigned. Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field. Minimum of 8 years of job-related experience or equivalent. PHR or SPHR Certification preferred. Experience in a Unionized environment preferred. Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to interpret and implement local policies. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills and working knowledge of Excel/word-processing and integrated software applications are essential. People oriented and results driven. Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills. Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands: Typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting to 20 pounds. Must possess planning/organizing skills. Must be able to work under deadlines. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual starting salary for this position is between $105,000-$120,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for bonus or long-term incentive compensation awards.
