Registered Nurse - Oncology (CHEMO Certified)

Location: New Jersey

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with every other weekend required.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care to oncology patients, including those undergoing chemotherapy, bone marrow transplants, and participation in clinical trials. The nurse will utilize telemetry skills while managing a patient ratio of 1:4-5+. Floating to various units, primarily within Oncology but also including Medical/Surgical and Intermediate Care, is required based on patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for oncology patients, including administration of chemotherapy and blood products.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Float to different units as required.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and care procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Two years of nursing experience in oncology.
• Active NJ or Compact nursing license required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CHEMO (ONS/ONCC), NIHSS.
• Telemetry experience is necessary.
