The Graphic Designer role is responsible for delivering high-quality visual communications that support GBE-N's corporate messaging, stakeholder engagement and public-facing outputs.

Working within established brand guidelines and communications frameworks, the role interprets briefs and produces clear, accurate and accessible design solutions across digital and print channels.

The role operates with a high degree of delivery autonomy, managing multiple design outputs simultaneously, but does not hold accountability for communications strategy, campaign direction or brand ownership.

This is a professional specialist role, requiring strong technical expertise, sound judgement and the ability to translate complex subject matter into clear visual content.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

* Deliver visual assets across digital and print formats, including reports, presentations, infographics, social media content and stakeholder materials
* Apply established GBE-N brand guidelines and visual standards consistently across all outputs, ensuring clarity, accessibility and accuracy
* Interpret design briefs from communications and business stakeholders, translating complex or technical information into accessible visual formats
* Manage multiple concurrent design requests, prioritising workload to meet agreed deadlines
* Prepare and manage artwork files for digital publication and print production, ensuring quality control and version management
* Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of corporate templates and visual assets (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, and digital formats)
* Output delivery: Responsibility for producing high-quality design outputs that support the effective communication of GBE-N messaging
* Brand application: Responsibility for the accurate application of established brand standards; the role does not define or own brand strategy
* Work planning: Responsibility for organising and managing workload across multiple briefs within agreed priorities
* Stakeholder support: Provision of specialist design support to internal teams, responding to briefs rather than leading communication activity

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

* Demonstrable experience delivering graphic design outputs in an in-house or agency environment (midweight level)
* Strong technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
* Experience working across both digital and print formats
* Strong typography, layout and visual communication skills
* Ability to interpret and present complex or technical information clearly for non-specialist audiences
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to plan and manage multiple design tasks independently within defined deadlines
* Experience maintaining or updating structured digital content (e.g. WordPress or an equivalent content management system)
* Experience working within a regulated, public sector, infrastructure or energy environment (Desirable)
* Understanding of accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) and inclusive design principles (Desirable)
* Experience contributing to template or asset development within an existing brand framework (Desirable)

Portfolio requirements

* Eligable applicants will receive an email requesting them to submit a portfolio after the closing date. The portfolio should contain 5-8 examples of design work that demonstrate experience across digital and print communications. The parameters will be outlined in the email along with the cut off date.
