Our commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative work atmosphere ensures that every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute to our shared mission of exceptional patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to develop comprehensive treatment plans.Implement individualized therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring function and enhancing quality of life.Utilize a variety of modalities and techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education, to facilitate recovery.Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols in response to evolving needs.Demonstrate excellent customer service to enhance patients' overall experience and satisfaction.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maximize patient outcomes through integrated care approaches.Engage in community education initiatives to promote wellness and preventive care.Patient Population / Client FocusYour work will encompass a diverse range of patient populations, including:Orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries or injuries.Pediatric cases requiring specialized therapeutic interventions.Neurologic individuals in need of rehabilitation post-stroke or injury.Athletes seeking recovery and performance enhancement through sports medicine approaches.Every client interaction provides an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, fostering trust and communication essential for effective rehabilitation.QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following:A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited APTA or CAPTE program.A current State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective patient education and documentation.Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills to manage patient records.Preferred ExperienceWhile we welcome new graduates, candidates with prior experience in orthopedic, pediatric, or neurologic physical therapy, as well as experience in home care settings, will be given preference.
