Senior CNC Maintenance Mechanic

From our vertically integrated facility in Lake Zurich, IL, we machine complex aluminum components for leading marine and recreation brands using advanced CNC equipment and automated manufacturing systems.As a division of Patrick Industries, we are committed to investing in technology, continuous improvement, and the people who keep our operation running.**What You’ll Work On: **Okuma CNC machining centers and production equipmentServo systems, spindle assemblies, and tool changersHydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and coolant systemsIndustrial electrical controls and machine diagnosticsPreventive and predictive maintenance programsEquipment reliability and continuous improvement projectsWhat You’ll Do:Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on CNC machine toolsTroubleshoot spindle, servo, axis, lubrication, tool changer, and coolant system failuresInterpret CNC alarms, electrical schematics, machine documentation, and diagnostic screensPerform machine alignments, spindle inspections, lubrication checks, and mechanical adjustmentsRespond to machine breakdowns and drive rapid resolution to minimize downtimeComplete preventive maintenance activities on CNC equipment and supporting systemsIdentify root causes of recurring machine failures and implement corrective actionsSupport machine installations, upgrades, and process improvementsPartner with operators, setup personnel, engineering, and production leadership to improve machine performanceMentor junior maintenance technicians and share troubleshooting knowledgeMaintain accurate maintenance records, repair notes, and PM documentationFollow all safety, Lockout/Tagout, and PPE requirements**What We’re Looking For: **5+ years of CNC machine maintenance experience preferredStrong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsExperience maintaining CNC machining centers in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manualsExperience using multimeters, dial indicators, precision measuring tools, and diagnostic equipmentAbility to work independently with minimal supervision**Preferred Experience: **Okuma CNC equipmentFanuc controlsHaas, Mazak, Mori Seiki, Makino, or similar CNC platformsServo drives and motion control systemsSpindle repair and machine tool diagnosticsPLC troubleshootingAutomated manufacturing systems and roboticsBenefitsMultiple medical, dental, and vision plan options with employer contributionsVoluntary benefits: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, legal insurance, identity theft protectionCompany-paid and voluntary life insuranceShort- and long-term disabilityFitness reimbursements and wellness programs401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysPet insurance optionsPay RangeA reasonable estimate of the hourly pay range for this role is $35 – $55 USD.
