Job Type Direct Placement Pay $150,000 to $180,000 Per Year BOE Responsibilities Lead the preparation of estimates for industrial, large commercial, and healthcare electrical projects ranging from $20 to $30 million. Review project specifications, drawings, and scope to ensure a full understanding of requirements. Perform detailed quantity take-offs, material pricing, and labor cost analysis. Develop budgets, conceptual estimates, and cost models during the design and preconstruction phases. Identify and analyze risk factors, value engineering options, and cost‑saving opportunities. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure accuracy and constructability of estimates. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to obtain competitive pricing. Participate in bid reviews, presentations, and contract negotiations. Mentor and support junior estimators, fostering team growth and professional development. Stay current with industry trends, codes, and innovations to maintain competitive advantage. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred. 8+ years of electrical estimating experience, focusing on industrial, large commercial, or healthcare projects. Proven track record developing estimates for projects $10M+. Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and electrical healthcare codes. Proficiency in estimating software (Accubid, McCormick, ConEst, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent math, analytical, and organizational skills. Strong communication and negotiation abilities. Master Electrician license or professional certifications (e.g., ASPE, AACE) a plus. Physical Requirements Regularly required to talk or hear, stand, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard for prolonged periods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work. Light to moderate lifting may be required occasionally. Pay Transparency The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000 Per Year, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
