Shift Manager – Pay Rate Up to $15.00 This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. This franchisee owns a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products when running the restaurant. However, this franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from McDonald’s USA. If you are hired for this position, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald’s USA. Only the franchisee is responsible for employment matters at the restaurant, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling employees. McDonald’s USA has no control over employment matters at the restaurant. McDonald’s USA will not receive a copy of your employment application and will have no involvement in any employment decisions regarding you, including whether you receive an interview or are hired. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. Responsibilities Planning for each shift. Monitoring performance during the shift and taking action to meet McDonald’s standards. Monitoring safety, security, and profitability. Communicating with the next Shift Manager to help prepare them to run a great shift. Meeting targets during shifts and helping assigned departments meet their goals. Daily Food Safety checklist and practices. Internal communication. Cash and inventory management. Daily maintenance and cleanliness. Managing crew. Ensuring safe food production and following policy and procedures. Exceptional customer service and hospitality. Safety and security knowledge and following policy & procedures. Crew scheduling. Additional Shift Manager Responsibilities Handling customer complaints at the store level. Covid-19 protective practices, protecting crew and customers while running shift. Training on new products and attending Nabit Webcast. Qualifications Previous leadership experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail or hospitality environment. Must be 18 years or older. Be professional, polite, and on time; serve as a role model. Honest communication and ability to lead crew and other managers.
