Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgery
This position requires working four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Call duties are mandatory, with an expectation of approximately one call per week as part of a six-week schedule. Call hours commence at the end of the shift and extend until 7:00 AM the following day. Additionally, there is a weekend call requirement every five weeks, covering either Saturday or Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM. The role is within a level 3 trauma center, where nurses must respond to the hospital within 30 minutes of receiving a call from the supervisor.
The unit is currently facing staffing challenges due to recent resignations, with five open positions available. This environment requires motivated individuals who can work efficiently under pressure and collaborate effectively with a dynamic surgical team.
Qualifications:
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice
