Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dependable roofing professional to join our team. In this role, you will apply your expertise to inspect, repair, replace, and install roofing systems with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in working with a variety of roofing materials and systems, and committed to delivering excellent craftsmanship on every project.
Responsibilities- Inspect roofs to identify damage, leaks, wear, and other potential issues
- Perform repairs, replacements, and installations on residential or commercial roofing systems
- Work with a variety of roofing materials, tools, and equipment
- Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure proper fit and finish
- Remove old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new installations
- Apply underlayment, shingles, flashing, sealants, and other roofing components as needed
- Follow all jobsite safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers
- Document completed work and identify additional service needs when applicable
- Support preventive maintenance and emergency repair projects as assigned
- Proven experience in roofing, construction, or a related trade
- Strong understanding of roofing systems, repair methods, and installation techniques
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and roofing equipment
- Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform demanding work that may include lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Prior experience with shingle, metal, flat, or specialty roofing systems
- Knowledge of roof ventilation, insulation, and waterproofing practices
- Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations
- Industry certifications or training related to roofing or construction safety
