SR. HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELOR

Le Roy Central School District has an anticipated opening for a 1.0 FTE probationary School Counselor for the Le Roy Sr. High School starting in August 2026. We are seeking a counselor for our student success center that will support students with challenges in their lives that impact their learning, and assist them in making educational, occupational, and life plans that hold promise for their personal fulfillment. The counselor would also assist in working with other counselors and administration to build the master schedule.


The Le Roy Jr.-Sr. High School has 550+ students in grades 7-12, 70+ staff members, and has a proud tradition of academic excellence and maintains high behavioral standards. We have a very diverse and vast course catalog that allows our students to challenge themselves and expand their horizons. We look forward to hiring an individual that will have a positive impact on our school community.


The counselor would specifically provide support and advising for:

• Academics
• Career and post-secondary planning
• Transitional events
• Personal conflicts, growth, and development
• Building the master schedule
• Working with the MTSS/RTS team
• Support character education initiatives in the district
