The Opportunity AI Data Innovations is seeking a part-time Audiologist to support research studies and participant-based user study data collection in Redmond, Washington. In this role, you will apply your clinical audiology expertise in a research environment by conducting hearing evaluations, supporting study protocols, reviewing assessment results, and helping ensure participant safety and data accuracy. Key Responsibilities Hearing Evaluation and Assessment Conduct hearing evaluations in accordance with research and user study protocols. Perform otoscopy, pure-tone air and bone conduction audiometry, speech reception threshold testing, word recognition testing, QuickSIN testing, masking, and other required assessment procedures. Follow approved testing procedures consistently to support participant safety and reliable study outcomes. Research Protocol Support Partner with research and operations teams to execute study procedures accurately and consistently. Provide clinically informed feedback on testing protocols and methodologies. Recommend improvements that support participant experience, study feasibility, and data quality. Data Quality and Interpretation Review and interpret hearing assessment results. Identify data inconsistencies, testing issues, and results that may require additional review. Provide clinically informed observations to support accurate research data collection and analysis. Maintain complete and accurate study documentation. Participant Support Communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with research participants. Explain assessment steps within the approved study process. Help create a safe, comfortable, and well-organized testing experience. Protect participant privacy and maintain confidentiality throughout the study. Equipment and Testing Readiness Support the setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of audiology equipment. Help maintain equipment and testing readiness. Learn new tools, technologies, equipment, and procedures required by the project. Research Operations Support Advise research teams on recruitment strategies for participants with hearing loss. Support the development and refinement of hearing-related testing methodologies. Stay current with evidence-based audiology practices and relevant research developments. Collaborate with research, operations, and project teams as study requirements evolve. Required Qualifications Doctor of Audiology degree from a CAA- or ACAE-accredited college or university. Current and valid Washington State licence to practise audiology. At least one year of post-graduate experience conducting hearing evaluations and audiology assessments. Strong knowledge of standard audiology assessment procedures, including otoscopy, audiometry, speech testing, masking, and related hearing evaluation protocols. Ability to apply clinical audiology expertise in a research or participant-based testing environment while following defined study protocols. Excellent communication, interpersonal, documentation, and collaboration skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, participant privacy, and confidentiality. Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and learn new equipment and technology quickly. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or comparable documentation, scheduling, and project coordination tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting research studies, user studies, clinical research, product research, or participant-based data collection. Experience using audiology equipment such as the GSI AudioStar Pro, Verifit2, or comparable systems. Familiarity with research ethics, informed consent procedures, participant privacy, applicable HIPAA requirements, and data confidentiality practices. Experience working with participants with hearing loss or supporting recruitment strategies for hearing-related research studies. Experience working with cross-functional research and operations teams. Comfort working in a fast-paced project environment with evolving protocols, timelines, and client requirements. Schedule and Working Arrangements This position requires onsite work in Redmond, Washington, generally one to two days per week. Availability on Wednesdays and/or Fridays from approximately 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. is preferred. The schedule may vary based on active studies, participant availability, and project needs.
