Lead - Inline Operator - 2nd shift

Inline Operator Leads team members in a safe and productive way. Performs manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance, and operations of a Web Press Flexographic Printer with Die Cutter.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Continually promote and demonstrate safe work behaviors, reinforcing safety procedures during training and team meetings. Make-ready, adjust, and run job as efficiently as possible to meet safety and productivity standards. Prep rolls for machine, keep ink full in machine, make adjustments to web feed as needed. Examine job order to determine quantity to be cut, stock specifications and special die cutting instructions. Examine cutting dies for visual defects and apply correcting solution to repair minor defects. Make necessary adjustments to ensure quality. Ensure information is communicated between shifts. Ensure Company Safety, Quality and Production standards are met. Perform proper and required maintenance as well as cleaning of Inline machines. Input information into computer for proper tracking of inventory and waste. Occasional squatting and kneeling for cleaning and clearing jams. Lead and support employee process improvement teams to conduct problem solving to drive down to root cause solutions. Lead and support employee process improvement teams to develop, present, and drive through problem solutions. Validate training for each position prior to promotion. Perform tower maintenance duties. Operate equipment as required. Complete shift reporting as directed. Required Skills Basic computer skills, data entry Ability to lead team members in a safe and productive way. Ability to work under minimal supervision, understand technical written (and verbal) instructions, set‑up the die cutter, and carry out instructions. Skills – Mechanical, technical, communication Abilities – good attendance, able to motivate other team members and participate in teams and processes Must be able to work second shift 3pm-11pm. Must be able to lift at least 35 lbs. Must be able to push/pull 45 lbs. Required Experience Experience operating a Web Press Flexographic Printer and Die Cutter, including machine setup, maintenance, and production operations.
