Status: Full-Time

Essential Job Functions

• Pick, pack and ship customer orders following guidelines, procedures and policies.
• Provides assistance for on-the-job training of new employees and cross-training of current employees.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with customers.
• Communicate with appropriate personnel any potential shortages and backorders.
• Complies with all applicable quality system requirements.
• Seeks guidance and direction as necessary for the performance of the listed responsibilities and duties.
• Demonstrates good judgement in investigating and resolving problems.
• Always follows all safety procedures.
• Participates in 6S.
• Participates and provides input for process improvement programs

Knowledge and Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Process written and oral communication skills sufficient to speak clearly and distinctly and read in English.

Job Experience

Minimum of one (1) year inventory control or shipping / receiving experience preferred.

Skills and Competencies

Computer skills preferred: SAP Processweaver, FedEx Manager, MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook.

Performs expanded basic arithmetic calculations.

Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.

Must be detail oriented, organized, possess good analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

Equipment Used

Standard office equipment, calculator, computer, wedge scanner, printers and shipping software.

Manual and electric pallet jacks.

Scales.

Electric shrink wrap machine.

Physical Requirements

Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous day-to-day activities of a primarily productive and technical nature. (Lifting 60lbs / Carrying 40lbs.) Moderate lifting, carrying, bending, pushing/pulling, climbing and prolonged standing. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and material. Requires the ability to judge distance and space relationships (i.e. visualize objects of multiple dimensions) Ability to work in a well-lighted, climate controlled, warehouse setting with adequate ventilation.
