The National Guard's full-time support program requires that all military technicians are members of the National Guard and are appointed to full-time positions which correspond to their military assignments. For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within One (1) year of appointment. This position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG), Component Numbered Air Force (cNAF), Air Operations Group (AOG), Air Support Squadron (ASUS). The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the full-time Health Systems Specialist for the installation, geographically separated units (GSUs), and tenant units, with responsibility for managing all medical administrative functions including medical support, medical operations, force health management and related medical applications. Due to the unique mission of the cNAF, this PD cannot be used in any other organization.DutiesManages Health Services activities, including plans and operations, human resource management, and medical staffing.Provides medical management and advisory services that contribute substantially to the plans, policies, decisions, and objectives of senior management.Develops plans, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for the overall operation of the Medical Staff.Ensures that plans and schedules are prepared for Medical Staff members and support personnel to attain combat ready proficiency.Determines eligibility, authorizes and coordinates civilian and military medical care for Active Guard Reserve (AGR) personnel and other eligible beneficiaries in accordance with directives and local policies.Note : This is not a comprehensive list of duties and responsibilities for this PD Number D0301P01 as released in FASCLASS.
