Braze Technician I

The Braze Technician I will assemble jobs as instructed per shop order, print, and/or customer specs. This role will work with various types of fixturing, tooling, weights, graphite's, ceramics, etc. Commitment to and support of the Company Core Values are key to success in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble jobs as instructed per shop order, print, and/or customer spec
• Working with various types of fixturing, tooling, weights, graphite's, ceramics, etc.
• Possess the ability to work with others and maintaining a professional attitude toward co-workers and customers
• Responsible for reporting to work on a timely/daily basis
• Following all safety rules and regulations
• Possess multi-tasking capabilities
• Reporting non-conformities to the Supervisor
• Operating forklift trucks (upon certification) safely, and cranes, and shop equipment, such as: Hydrostatic tester, spot welding, bead-blasting, and bench-top ultrasonic wash tank, etc.
• Uphold the company core values
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must have the knowledge and experience necessary for the position.
• Must be able to follow instructions and procedures and work with minimal supervision.
• Must be capable of reading drawings and inspecting the work being performed.
• Ability to comprehend written and/or verbal instructions
• Have basic knowledge or experience using various hand tools, such as: Calipers, micrometers, scales, gauges, etc.
• Ability to work with the following chemical agents: Acetone, and Isopropyl Alcohol
• Deburring, filing, and grinding using Scotch Brite, Wire Brushes, and polishing agents
• Alloy application
• Perform dry lay up assembly
• General House Keeping
• Disciplined in following safety signs, warnings, and labels

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Graveyard Shift from Mondays - Thursdays. Working hours are from 8:00 pm - 6:30 am (10 hours per day)
