Lead Medical Assistant

CenterWell Home Health, part of Humana Inc., is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant to support compassionate, in-home care for seniors and adults with chronic conditions. In this role, you’ll coordinate and perform clinical support tasks, obtain vitals, manage documentation, and help oversee daily workflows for the medical assistant team. You’ll collaborate closely with nurses and therapists, ensuring accurate records, smooth visit schedules, and high-quality, patient-centered service. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily activities of the medical assistant team for in-home patient visits Support clinicians with vitals, basic clinical tasks, and documentation during home health visits Prepare, update, and maintain accurate electronic medical records and care documentation Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, families, and the care team to ensure patient-first service Train, mentor, and support new medical assistants on protocols, safety, and quality standards Assist with scheduling, visit coordination, and workflow optimization for field staff Ensure compliance with infection control, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other team members to support individualized care plans Monitor supplies, equipment readiness, and report issues to leadership Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experience Required Skills Clinical vital signs measurement Electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Home health procedures and protocols Patient triage and preparation Infection control and safety practices Care coordination and scheduling Team leadership and staff mentoring HIPAA and patient confidentiality compliance Basic phlebotomy and specimen collection Medical terminology and documentation accuracy #J-18808-Ljbffr CenterWell Home Health
