Senior Manager, Tax Product Development

Job Summary:The Senior Manager, Microsoft Dynamics is responsible for leading the strategy, development, implementation, and ongoing support of enterprise Microsoft Dynamics solutions that enable critical business operations. This role combines strong hands-on technical expertise with people leadership, serving as a manager for BDO Tax products and platforms, including AI-enabled solutions supporting Partnership, Direct Tax (Business Tax), Indirect Tax, and Dynamics/ERP integrations. This role oversees a team of developers, engineers, and system specialists while actively contributing to solution architecture, system enhancements, integrations, and operational support.The Senior Manager will drive the delivery and maintenance of production-grade Microsoft Dynamics environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and alignment with business objectives. Partnering closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional technology teams, this leader will translate business requirements into innovative technology solutions, optimize processes through automation, and champion continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in enterprise software engineering, proven experience managing Dynamics platforms in complex environments, and a demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams while balancing strategic vision with direct execution. Job Duties:• Leads the design, implementation, and hands-on development of software features and platform capabilities for BDO Tax products. Leads the design, implementation, and hands-on development , including integration patterns for Dynamics/ERP/3rd party tax and accounting systems• Provides technical direction on architecture, code structure, scalability, and reliability for services, APIs, and user-facing applications• Leads and manages a team while serving as a direct manager, actively utilizing Microsoft Dynamics to oversee daily operations, optimize processes, drive performance, and support strategic business objectives• Designs and develops scorecards for evaluation of candidate business applications• Creates dashboard presentations of quantitative and qualitative scoring of candidate options• Supports Technical Leads, Developers and Managers by providing functional clarifications and setting expectations with team and client• Solution Functional Design: Performs functional (business process) solution design in business applications (CE, • ERP, CRM, HCM & related) contexts, to provide maximized business value and deliver strong business agility while meeting applicable requirements and constraints• Program & Project Management: Supports, and manages aspects of business applications implementations• Documents and maintains project milestones, phases, elements, and budget• Monitors project progress by tracking risks, actions, issues, decisions, and other activities• Develops references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users• Manages and performs systems configuration tasks (but not coding/development) for process workstreams as directed• Provides ongoing support during project implementations and post-go-live support• Responsible for configuration of solution based on requirements• Fosters a positive demeanor, learning attitude and client service mentality with the team• Travel – up to 25%, as needed• Other duties, as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:• Owns and drives completion of projects and large key workstreams within as directed by practice leaders• Mentors engineers through pairing, technical coaching, and feedback on design and implementation quality• Manages projects and larger workstreams as directed• Reviews quality of team deliverables• Mentors and develops senior consultantsQualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Education: • Bachelor’s degree, required; focus in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), Finance, or Accounting, preferredExperience:• Ten (10) or more years of progressive experience in software engineering, delivering and supporting enterprise-scale software products and business-critical applications, required• Five (5) or more years of education or experience with ERP, HCM or CRM Product, required• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules, integrations, workflows, business process automation, and platform configuration, preferred• License/Certifications:• PL-400 (Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate) preferredSoftware:• Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint, required• Experience with one (1) or more ERP/CRM/HCM Solution technology, required• Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure,required o Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), CRM, Business Central, F&SCM), Ceridian Dayforce Solutions (Talent and Benefits Intelligence, Workforce Management (WFM), Payroll, HR or Advanced HR Analytics), Salesforce, Oracle NetSuite, Acumatica, SAP, Infor, Sage, Syteline, JDE, IFS, or any other ERP/CRM Software, Smartsheet, preferred• Enterprise software strategy, selection, and implementation experience, preferredLanguage:• N/AOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:• Strong analytical, problem solving, facilitation, documentation, and communication skills, • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written• Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills• Experience integrating Microsoft Dynamics with enterprise systems, APIs, Azure services, Power Platform, and third-party applications preferred• Demonstrated ability to oversee application performance, scalability, security, and reliability for mission-critical Dynamics environments preferred • Strong understanding of data management, reporting, analytics, and governance within a Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem, preferred• Business process analysis, design, and process flow skills• Excels at operating in a fast-paced technical environmentKeywords: MS Dynamics CE, Marketing Cloud, Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics Finance & Operations, Dynamics F&O, Microsoft Finance and Supply Chain Management, Microsoft F&SCM, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dynamics 365 CRM, Microsoft Customer Experience Platform, Business Analyst, BA, Enterprise Tester, Requirements Gathering, User Experience, User Enablement, Data Visualization, Software, Definition, Custom Applications, Data Analytics, Cloud Strategy, SharePoint, Office 365, O365, SFDC, D365, Acumatica, NetSuite.
