Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant Location: Grand Prairie, TX (On-site daily) Position Summary: Seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to manage full‑cycle accounting and month‑end close activities for a growing organization. This is an in‑officer role requiring strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze and explain variances in a dynamic work environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute month‑end close activities (journal entries, accruals, prepaid amortizations, closing checklists). Perform full‑cycle accounting for assigned GL areas (AP, AR, payroll interfaces, fixed assets, prepaids, revenue). Prepare and maintain detailed account reconciliations on a regular cadence; investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Conduct flux and variance analysis vs. budgets/forecasts and prior periods; prepare commentary and supportive schedules/support for management. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support audit and tax requests (internal and external). Review supporting documentation and ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policies. Assist with process improvements, internal controls, and month‑end automation initiatives. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (operations, HR/payroll, AP/AR) to ensure accurate reporting. Prepare and present financial schedules, analyses, and ad‑hoc reports as requested by management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; prior senior accounting experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience with month‑end close, full‑cycle accounting, account reconciliations, and flux/variance analysis. Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal control best practices. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas); experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar). Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills (written and verbal). High level of integrity, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Must be willing and able to work in the Grand Prairie office every business day. Preferred Experience with POC revenue accounting. OneStream reporting experience. Familiarity with month‑end close automation tools and financial reporting systems. Experience supporting external audits and tax filings. Work Schedule & Compensation Full‑time, Monday–Friday, on‑site.
